Elizabeth M. Shank

Elizabeth M. "Betty" Shank (nee Marsch), age 94, formerly of Newtown Square, PA, passed away on October 9, 2023.

Born in Philadelphia, PA in 1929, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Florence (nee Monge) Marsch. Elizabeth was a proud graduate of West Catholic High School for Girls.

For 30 years, she managed the office and behind the scenes at “Frank’s Sunoco” in Broomall, alongside her husband.  Through the years, she enjoyed sewing, gardening and especially loved cooking her homemade pastas and Pizzelles. She was long-time member of St. Anastasia Parish.

Elizabeth was the beloved wife of the late Francis V. Shank; loving mother of Michael Shank, D.O. (Margaret) and Stephen Shank (Brigid); proud grandmother of Laura Dingman (Brian), Lisa Shank (Alexander Burman), Allison Manning (John), Patrick Shank (Lindsay Lahoda), and Kevin Shank; caring great-grandmother of Carter Dingman, Grace Dingman, and Madison Manning; dear sister of the late Charles Marsch.

Relatives and friends are invited to the shared visitation for both Elizabeth and Francis beginning at 9:00 AM on Monday November 6th, 2023 at St. Anastasia Church, 3301 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square, PA 19073, followed by their Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM. Interment SS Peter & Paul Cemetery, 1600 Sproul Rd. Springfield, PA 19064.
