William Gannon, Sr.

William Paul Gannon, Sr., age 94, of West Chester, PA, passed away on August 30, 2019.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late James J. and Esther A. (nee Roche) Gannon.

He served honorably in the US Army during World War II. He was employed by Atlantic Richfield Company as a Dispatch Manager.

William was the beloved husband of the late Catherine T. (nee McKeever) Gannon; loving father of Catherine T. Curley (James J.), Margaret Mary Albright (Jack), William P. Gannon, Jr. (the late Lori A.), Robert F. Gannon (Connie), and Gregory P. Gannon (Chris); dear grandfather of Michele (nee Curley) Nolan, Amy (nee Curley) Knott, Matthew Curley, Robert Gannon, Tara Gannon, Gregory Gannon, Kyle Gannon, Alexandra Gannon, Rachel (nee Gannon) Carter, Jonathan Gannon, and Madeline Gannon. He is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his nine brothers and sisters.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Viewing Friday, September 6, 2019 10:00-10:50 AM at SS. Simon and Jude Church, 8 Cavanaugh Court, West Chester, PA 19382, followed by his Funeral Mass 11:00 AM. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.
