Thaddeus Machowski

Thaddeus J. “Ted” Machowski, passed away October 16, 2020 at the home of his daughter and son-in-law, Theresa and Christian Lohmann, in West Chester, PA.  In the days prior to his passing, he was surrounded by his entire family whom he dearly loved.

Born February 13, 1933 in Johnstown, PA, he was the son of the late John and Amelia Machowski.

Ted was the beloved husband of 45 years to the late Josephine Machowski; loving father of Martin, Leonard, Marianne, Thomas and Theresa; adoring grandfather of Nathan, Emma, Martha, Noah, Anna, Amelia, Joanna, James, Jonathan, Madeline, Zachary, Levi, Abigail, Bethany and Chad; and great grandchildren Zion Thaddeus, Hosanna, Charlotte, Liam and  Anthony with three additional great grandchildren on the way.  He was preceded in death by his father John and mother Amelia; his sisters Genevieve, Eleanor and Henrietta and brother Edward.  He is survived by his dear sisters, Louise “LuLu” Machowski and Bernice Diamond.

Ted was a member of Covenant Fellowship Church.  He graduated from Johnstown Central Catholic High School and St. Francis College where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting.  He worked for the Internal Revenue Service for 35 years, then an additional 14 years for American Computer Estimating, Inc.  He served honorably in the U.S. Army.

Ted was known for his great love and faith for his Savior, Jesus Christ, his outgoing and encouraging personality, his love for polka music, and his great sense of humor.  He will be greatly missed by his family.
