Ruth Kelly

Ruth J. Kelly (nee Jackson), age 88, of Salem, NJ, formerly of Upper Darby, PA, passed away on September 18, 2021.   Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Elizabeth Jackson (nee Riley).

Ruth had been employed as a Bank Teller for Germantown Savings Bank.

Ruth spent her life helping others.   She spent most of her early years raising her brother and three sisters and then raised her own five children.  She was a very special lady, generous, caring, funny and loved by all.

Ruth was predeceased by her beloved husband, John D. Kelly.  She is survived by her loving children Michael Kelly (Debra), Kathleen Weiss (Jeff), Stephan Kelly,  Paul Kelly (Maryanne) and the late John “Davey” Kelly (Diane Kelly).  Dear grandmother of Melissa, Kyle, Michael, Matthew, Jeff, Samantha, Michael, Amanda and Erin and 8 great-grandchildren.  Sister of the late Arthur Jackson, Jr., Anna Layden, Mildred Speer and Catherine Murphy.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit the family Thursday, September 23, 2021 from 10:00-11:30 AM and to her Funeral Service at 11:30 AM. Interment SS Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.
