Roseann Basciano

Roseann “Roe” Basciano (nee Smith), age 72, of Media, PA, formerly of Yeadon, PA, passed away on October 9, 2019, surrounded by her loving family after a long courageous battle with cancer.  Roseann’s strength and unparalleled desire to live for her family was evident even in her final selfless moments.

Roseann was born on March 1, 1947 in Bryn Mawr, PA, she was the daughter of the late William and Marie (nee Meagher) Smith.

Roseann attended St. Louis School and Archbishop Prendergast “Prendie” High School. She pursued a career in the beauty industry until she fulfilled the most important role in her life as a mother and Me-Mom to her beautiful family.  She was a perfect combination of love and compassion with a witty sense of humor to all that knew her.  She loved the time spent cooking for her family as well as laughing and creating life long memories with all of her family and friends.

Roseann was the loving mother of Dominick Basciano Jr (Danielle), Jeffrey Basciano and Samantha Basciano (Eddie Brink).  She is survived by her siblings, Patricia Hopkins (Norman) and William Smith (Cis), and is predeceased by her sister, Carol Shields. Roseann was the cherished Me-Mom of Dominique, Ava, Lucy and Dominick and is also survived by her dear friends, Sue and Anna Brink, as well as her many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation Wednesday, October 16, 2019,     9:30 AM to 11:30 AM at The Donohue Funeral Home, 3300 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square, PA 19073, 610-353-6300, followed by her Memorial Service at 11:30 AM.  Interment private.
