Michael Hall

Michael was born in Drexel Hill, PA, grew up in West Chester, PA, and received a B.A. in Neurocomputing from the University of Minnesota in 1991.

Mike’s interests were ever wide-ranging, from microbiology and American composer Samuel Barber to Dungeons & Dragons. Michael’s primary love always remained neurology and computer programming. Mike worked for the National Institutes of Health in Washington DC for several years before accepting a full scholarship for a doctoral degree in Neuroscience from Southampton University, UK. He spent many years in England and travelling across Europe, delivered research papers in San Francisco, California, and worked on research projects for the US government.

Michael was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 2000 and returned home to Florida to be with his family, who returned with him to Chester County in 2005.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his brother, George C., husband of Audrey Hall, and his niece Samantha Hall. Michael passed away quietly at Inglis House in Philadelphia in March 2020.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation 12:00 noon - 1:00 PM Saturday, September 12, 2020 at The Donohue Funeral Home, 43 W. Lancaster Ave, Downingtown, PA 19335, 610-269-3080 followed by his Memorial Service 1:00 PM.
