Mary Ann Mark

January 5, 1945 — January 8, 2022

Mary Ann Wells Mark, 77, passed away suddenly on January 8, 2022. Mary Ann was born in Philadelphia, PA to the late Earnest A. Wells, Sr. and Rita Mary LoGiurato Wells.

Mary Ann is a graduate of Ridley High School.  She met the love of her life, Ted, at her brother’s wedding.  She was a devoted wife and mother to her two sons.  She was also a second mother to everyone and delighted in caring for the family’s babies.  She found her greatest joy in her family and helping others.

Mary Ann also had a successful career.  She worked in many industries throughout her life however her favorite positions were as a customer service representative for Amtrak and a chef for the Springfield School District, where she developed lifelong friendships.  Mary Ann was a long time member of the Aquatic Swim Club and served on its Board for many years.  She was also a member of the Our Lady of Perpetual Help 50 and Over Club where she organized group activities and events and went on trips with her Mom.

Mary Ann loved music and dancing. As a teen, she enjoyed dancing along with the kids on American Bandstand with her cousins in the living room. In particular, she loved Elvis.  Mary Ann was also a true movie buff and avid reader.  Mary Ann loved to cook and baked the best cookies.  She enjoyed sewing, knitting and crocheting.  She made countless blankets, shawls and ponchos in her lifetime.  She loved to play games and cards, especially pinochle and rummy. She was generous with her time and shared her skills with anyone who asked.

Mary Ann will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt and as a strong and independent woman until the end.  Forever in our hearts, Mary Ann will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Mary Ann is survived by her two sons: Ronald T. Mark (Tracy), Theodore J. Mark, IV (Amanda); two granddaughters: Angelina Rose and Veronica Lynn Mark; brother, Earnest A. Wells, Jr. (Barbara), three sisters, Rita Gock, Renee Strolis (Albert), and Toni Ann Klimowicz (John); brother-in-law, Barry Garvey; and many loving nieces and nephews.
