Mary Wallace

In the early morning of May 10th, 2021, Mary Elizabeth Wallace (née Sudfeld) was born to eternal life. She passed peacefully at home and with family.

Maribeth was born in Philadelphia, PA and after third grade moved with her family to North Wales, PA. She graduated from Gwynedd Mercy Academy in Gwynedd Valley, PA in 1967.

Shortly thereafter, she joined the Federal Bureau of Investigation and was employed as a support person for nearly ten years. While working for the FBI, she met and married Special Agent Carl Wallace.

In 1981, Maribeth gave birth to her first and only child, Andrea Suzanne. After several years as a homemaker, she spent time as a real estate agent and later pursued other opportunities in the business world.

She enjoyed gardening, vacationing, and being involved in her daughter’s many activities. Maribeth and her husband had almost 45 years of a wonderful marriage and in 2014 welcomed their grandson, “Spike”, into the world who was spoiled by his Nanny as only a grandmother can do.

Her vivacious personality, loving disposition, and quick wit will be missed, and she will be cherished forever by everyone who knew her.

Maribeth is preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Frances Sudfeld and her sister, Suzanne.

She is survived by her husband Carl “Spike”; daughter, Andrea Stecker; son-in-law, Brian; grandson, Brian “Spike”; brother, Herbert Sudfeld (Mary Jo); sister, Regina Wyse (Philip); nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation from 9:00 AM-10:00 AM, followed by her Funeral Mass 10:00 AM, Saturday, May 15, 2021 at St. Agnes Church, 233 W. Gay St., West Chester, PA 19380. Interment will be held at Saint Agnes Cemetery in West Chester, PA.
