Margaret T. “Peggy” Schmied, 73, of West Chester, PA, passed away on September 26, 2020.
Born in Haverford, PA on June 2, 1947, Peggy was the daughter of the late Robert and Margaret (nee Dougherty) Tyson. She began working at Havertown Printing where she met her husband and love of her life for 55 years, John “Charlie” Schmied. Margaret and Charlie had a very loving marriage and never argued. Peggy raised her children and devoted over 20 years to her work at Advent Lutheran Church. She spent her final years working at Freedom Village where she loved everyone she worked with. Peggy loved spending time with her family and she enjoyed her frequent trips to Williamsburg, VA and Cape May, NJ with her husband, Charlie. She also remained very active in the Lutheran Church Community. Peggy was well known by family and friends, as a calming voice with a compassionate and caring soul. She had an uncanny ability to make those around her feel better and so loved, without question.
Peggy was the beloved wife of John “Charlie” Schmied; loving mother of Charlie Schmied, Bob Schmied (Livia), Donna McGuigan (Dan), and Kevin Schmied; adoring grandmother of Alexandra, Danny, Sophie, Evan, Travis, Nathan, Ryan, Max, and Maddie; dear sister of Patty Cutillo, Joanna Angelucci, and Bob Tyson. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Peggy will be dearly missed by everyone who knew her.
Service arrangements will be at a later time.
