Kenneth Hagman

September 13, 1944 — January 27, 2020

Kenneth was born on September 13, 1944 in Bronxville, NY.

After graduating from college in New York he moved to Pennsylvania where he joined the USMC Reserves.

After serving his 6 months of Active Duty he began his career at the E.O.Habhegger, Co., Inc. in March 1967. He began working as a salesman and was given the opportunity to become a partner before becoming the company president. He continued to be a strong advocate at the company as well as the petroleum industry until his retirement in December 2019.

Ken met his wife Caroline in 1962. They were happily married for 52-1/2 years until his passing in 2020. He was a loving father to Kimberly Duke (Scott), Christopher (Theresa); and devoting grandfather to 5 children, Alexa, Andrew, Kylie, Madelyn and Matthew.

He was known to his grandchildren as Opa (German for Grandpa) but as a colleague once said it stands for ‘Original Party Animal’. He was the life of the party and he pressed the "fun button" with his grandchildren. He was passionate in the petroleum industry and when he wasn’t working he enjoyed playing golf, travelling, boating and spending weekends at their lake house.

Ken began losing his voice in July 2019 and after many tests he received a final diagnosis of ‘Bulbar ALS’ in October 2019. With no known cause or cure, ALS challenges the human spirit and tests the courage of everyone touched by this devastating disease.
