Juliana Hochreiter

Juliana Van Blarcom Hochreiter passed away in her sleep on Sunday, March 29, 2020 at her home. She was born in Wilks-Barre, PA. She was the daughter of late Philip and Virginia Van Blarcom.

Julie was a lifelong nurse and spent most of her career specializing in geriatric care. She retired as Director of Mid County Adult Day Care. Post retirement, Julie was a caregiver for her beloved granddaughters. Julie traveled the world, often accompanied by her childhood friend, Marilyn Eck. Julie was the ultimate sports fan. Whether it was the Eagles or her grandchildren’s games, she was always enthusiastically cheering them on.

Julie is survived by a son, Philip Hochreiter (Jane), of Graham, NC, a daughter, Gretchen Hochreiter Eby (Butch) of Broomall, PA and three grandchildren, Jordan, Taylor and Zac, and numerous friends. She will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
