John Gallagher

John J. Gallagher, age 79, of Newtown Square, PA, passed away on April 26, 2021.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Hugh and Hannah (nee Lyden) Gallagher.

John was employed as an electrician for the University of Pennsylvania.  He was an avid woodworker who also enjoyed fixing cars, muscle cars and was a fan of

NASCAR.  Going to the beach was another favorite place for him to be with his family.

John was the beloved husband of Marlene (Pachelli) Gallagher; the loving father of Stephen Gallagher, David Gallagher (Cindy) and Christine Gallagher; the devoted grandfather of Daniel, Johnathon and Lauren.  He was predeceased by his grandson, Eric Gallagher, and his siblings, Rosemary Coyle and Hughie Gallagher.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation, Saturday, May 1, 2021, 10:00 – 11:30 AM at The Donohue Funeral Home, 3300 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square, PA  19073, 610-353-6300, followed by his Memorial Service at 11:30 AM.  Interment private.
