John Craig

John A. “Jack” Craig, 78, of West Chester, PA, formerly of Turnersville, NJ, passed away on October 24, 2020.

Born in Steubenville, OH in 1942, he was the son of the late Paul R. and Mary M. (nee Babicz) Craig. Jack graduated from the Franciscan University of Steubenville and worked as a Railroad Superintendent. After retirement, Jack served as a substitute teacher for Mullica Hill School District, NJ. He was a 4th Degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus. Jack enjoyed reading, watching football, and model railroading. He served honorably in the U.S. Air Force.

Jack was the President of the Board of Trustees for the Mater Dei Nursing Home for the Roman Catholic Diocese of Southern, NJ. Dedicated, well respected, and compassionate, he was truly loved by all staff and especially the residents.

He was the beloved husband of Theresa (nee Lamatrice) Craig; loving father of Jacqueline Perks, Joseph P. Craig, Christina Campli, and Andrew Craig; predeceased by siblings, Robert M. Craig and Arlene B. Craig; also survived by 9 grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation 10-11 AM Monday, November 2, 2020 at SS Simon & Jude Church, 8 Cavanaugh Court, West Chester, PA 19382, followed by his Funeral Mass 11 AM. Interment St. Agnes Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the American Heart Association, 1617 JFK Blvd., Suite 700, Philadelphia, PA 19103, would be appreciated.
