James L. McArdle, 87, of West Chester, formerly of Yardley, Bala Cynwyd and Overbrook, PA passed away on November 1, 2020.
Born in Philadelphia in 1933, he was the son of the late Leon and Ann (Lynch) McArdle.
Jim lived all of his life in the Philadelphia area. He was a 1954 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania. He was a sales executive in the folding carton industry and contract packaging and manufacturing. Jim was a people person and always enjoyed his work.
He served as a Lieutenant in the US Naval Reserve, serving 3 years on the USS Laffey DD724.
He was the devoted husband for 57 years to the love of his life, Elizabeth “Betty Ann” (Thomas) McArdle; loving father of James L. McArdle and the late Elizabeth Barbato; dear grandfather of 4 grandchildren; brother of the late Nancy Barnett. He is also survived by many adoring friends and relatives.
Jim was the life of this party called life and will be missed by all.
Services and interment are private.
