Irvin Weimer

Irvin R. Weimer, age 90, of Broomall, PA, passed away peacefully on January 17, 2020.

Born in Shamokin, PA, he was the son of the late Samuel and Katura (nee Bowman) Weimer.

Irvin served his country honorably in the USMC. He was employed as a tool maker at the Philadelphia Naval Shipyard.

Irvin was a fabulous storyteller.  He was very athletic and enjoyed swimming, diving, roller skating and gymnastics.  He also liked to do woodworking and was known by family and friends as “Mr. Fixit,” for no matter what the challenge, he was able to fix it.

Irvin was the beloved husband of Marie S. (nee Catalano) Weimer; the loving father of Angela K. Farina and Kevin R. Weimer (Susan); the devoted grandfather of Marissa, Julia and Robert.  He is predeceased by his dear brother, Samuel Weimer.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Viewing on Monday, January 20, 2020, 10:00 – 10:50 AM at St. Anastasia Church, 3301 West Chester Avenue, West Chester, PA  19073, followed by his Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM.  Interment SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.
