Helen Quinn

Helen D. Quinn (nee McElwee), age 93, of Broomall, PA, formerly of Upper Darby, PA, passed away on November 4, 2019.   Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late John V. and Kathryn McElwee (nee O’Hara).

Helen had been employed as a waitress at The Shack Restaurant in Upper Darby, PA for many years.   She enjoyed singing, dining out, loved a glass of wine or a Stinger, and was very patriotic.   She was “Nanny” to her entire family and babysat her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Helen was predeceased by her beloved husband, John Francis Quinn and her son, Thomas E. Quinn.   She is survived by her loving children John V. Quinn (Vicki), Helen “Cis” Quinn Smith (Bill), James W. Quinn (Barbara), William F. Quinn, Joseph A. Quinn (Karen), her daughter-in-law Marilyn Quinn and her 17 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing Monday, November 11, 2019 9:00-11:00 AM at The Spencer T. Videon-Donohue Funeral Home, 8401 West Chester Pike (cor. Lynn Blvd.), Upper Darby, PA (610) 449-0300 and to her Funeral Service at 11:00 AM.   Interment will be private.
