Harry Donlon “Don” Skerrett, formerly of Rosemont, passed away on May 21, 2021 after a brief illness. The son of the late Harry G and Catherine (nee Donlon), Don graduated from The Haverford School in 1960. He also graduated from The University of Pennsylvania with a BA in Journalism in 1964 and earned his Masters in 1965 from the University of Pennsylvania’s Annenberg School of Communication.
Don was a seasoned business leader with a visionary, entrepreneurial spirit and was passionate about growing and improving businesses and the people that ran them. His career spanned pharmaceutical advertising, magazine publishing, consumer advertising, market research, management consulting, and corporate acquisitions. He had founded and run several early-stage companies, including BreakAway Sports, Sportsworks Interactive, and the Interactive Advertising Council in Washington, DC.
He most recently served as the chairman and president of the Pharmaceutical Consulting Consortium International, the Chairman of NanoScan Imaging, and CEO of NanoPhagix.
Don was a devotee of jazz and classical music, cars, and was an avid sports fan, especially of the Philadelphia Eagles.
He is survived by his two daughters, Marianne Dunmire and Heather Skerrett Henderson, and four grandchildren, Nicholas, Michael, Margaret, and Sarah.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
