GARRY JOSEPH MOORE, JR.

Born on September 6, 1979 to Father Garry Moore, Sr. and Elizabeth Moore-Simpson in Chester, PA.

He was educated in Head Start and Immaculate Heart of Mary School in Chester, PA. and in the RoseTree Media School District in Media, PA. He later went on to receive certification in HVAC Technology. While in high school, he worked at the old Media Inn in Media, PA, and later as a customer service representative and an HVAC technician.

Garry was known for his faith in God, his big smile, his love of sports, and his ability to crack jokes that would have you in “stitches”.  He loved to laugh, rap, listen to music, play basketball, and spend time with family and friends.

Garry had many struggles in his life, but he was always pure at heart. He was a good person, who loved his family and friends and who was always empathetic towards others. He was a faithful son, brother, brother-in-law, and uncle, who had a special love for his nieces and nephews, since he did not have any of his own.

Garry is survived by his Parents Garry Moore, Sr. and Elizabeth Moore-Simpson, Sisters Chennelle Echevarria, Alesia Simms and Karen Jackson, Brother Kenneth “Sadat” Jackson, Brother-in-law Jose Echevarria, Aunts Annette Burton, Joan Shavers and Geralene Braxton, Uncles Ernest Ricketts and Berry Moore, Loving nieces, nephews and cousins, Special Friends Marques Harris and Taqiyya Williams.   He was the godson of Nikki Jones and Marcella Wilson and the late Jean Pierre Brice and James Shavers.

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Sunday, November 17, 2019 3:00-5:00 PM and Monday, November 18, 2019 9:00-10:00 AM at The Donohue Funeral Home, 8401 West Chester Pike (cor. Lynn Blvd.), Upper Darby, PA (610) 449-0300 and to his Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM at St. Laurence Church, 8245 West Chester Pike, Upper Darby, PA.   Interment will be private.
