Elizabeth Travia

Elizabeth T. “Betty” Travia (nee Stahl), age 83, of Granite Run, formerly of Havertown, PA, passed away on July 20, 2020.  Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late William and Elizabeth Stahl (nee Godella).

Betty is survived by her beloved husband of 54 years, Rocco Travia,. and her loving children Thomas R. Travia (Denise), Donna L. Mastro, and Stephen A. Travia, her grandchildren Laura Travia, Ryan Mastro, Cole Mastro and Brooke Mastro and her brother, Joseph Stahl.  She is predeceased by her brothers, William, James, and John Stahl.

Betty was a long time, active member of Annunciation B.V.M. Church in Havertown, having served on its Senior Club for many years. She especially enjoyed for over thirty years spending time at her vacation home in the Poconos while enjoying the lake and relaxing at the house or exploring the stores.  She loved taking car rides with her family to many locations like Niagara Falls, Canada and Wisconsin. She enjoyed in recent years working in her garden in Havertown and spending time with her four grandchildren at home and in the Poconos.  When her children were young, she enjoyed bowling at the former Manoa Lanes in several ladies’ clubs and enjoyed assisting at Annunciation B.V.M. school.  She volunteered with the Monsignor Bonner Mothers’ Club for many years while her sons were students and for many years thereafter. She was an avid reader and in later years enjoyed watching game shows with her husband.  She was most recently a resident of the Sunrise Senior Living Community with her husband in Granite Run, PA.

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing Monday, July 27, 2020 9:30-11:00 AM at Annunciation B.V.M. Church, 401 Brookline Blvd., Havertown, PA and to her Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM.  Interment SS Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.

In accordance with the CDC guidelines and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, masks are to be worn to the viewing, Funeral Mass and cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory to the Annunciation B.V.M. Church Sanctuary Fund, 410 Sagamore Road, Havertown, PA 19083 would be appreciated.
