Bruce Joyner

December 13, 1957 — September 7, 2020

Bruce Joyner …

On Monday September 7, 2020 our Loving Husband, Father, Brother, Uncle and Friend Bruce Joyner made his final transition to his eternal resting place.

Born on December 13, 1957 to the late Jerry Bishop and Liberty Ann. Bruce was the youngest of three siblings.  Affectionately known as “Saddle”, Bruce was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Educated in the Philadelphia school system, Bruce then went onto pursue architecture as a trade profession.

In 1983 Bruce met the love of this life Linda and in 1988 they were wed. From this union together they loved and nurtured two sons Brandon and Ricky.

In 1986 Bruce was employed by one of several construction companies responsible for building the “Blue Route”. Bruce had a strong passion for driving and took pride in knowing every shortcut and exit in the city. Home sweet home for Bruce’s career began in 1992 at Urban Engineers until his passing. Within this capacity, Bruce thrived and became a true leader within his work force. Here he created strong bond within his team of colleagues and was always ready to conquer new tasks.

In his spare time Bruce enjoyed weight lifting with his group of friend’s known as the “A Team”. He was also a very avid photographer and his camera accompanied him everywhere. As a lover of soul and jazz music, Bruce looked forward to attending concerts to see his favorite artists.

“To Know “Saddle” Was To Love Him!”

With a heart of gold he would help you in any way he knew how.

Bruce was proceeded in death by his mother and father Jerry Bishop and Liberty Ann. He leaves to cherish in his memory his darling wife Linda Joyner; two sons Brandon and Ricky; two grandchildren Raiyanah and Ayden; two loving sisters Jerryann and Janet Joyner; a niece and nephew Terrance and Sharee Joyner as well as a host of great nieces, great nephews, cousins, family and friends.
