Benedetta Roth

Benedetta Susan Roth (nee Coccagna), age 68, of Wayne, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on October 4, 2019 surrounded by her family.

Susan was born in Bryn Mawr Hospital on October 22, 1950 to the late Albert and Mary (nee De Vitis) Coccagna.  She was a graduate of the Charles E. Ellis School for Girls in 1968 and Rosemont College with a degree in English Literature in 1972.  Susan met the love of her life, the late Allen Roth, while they were college students. They married and traveled the world, circling the globe over time, including a couple years spent living in Nepal.

Susan had a passion for literature, languages, and music.  Gracious, elegant, and poised, Susan's enjoyment of the arts led to a lifetime practice of classical ballet and modern dance.  She lovingly assumed the care of her mother in her later years.  Susan's care taking extended to her nieces and nephews whom she embraced as her own.

Susan was the dear sister of Ann Schissel, Albert Coccagna (Rosemary), and Ellen Bingham (Stuart) and sister-in-law to Jack, Brian, and Joanne.  Susan was the devoted aunt to Pete, Eliza, Amanda, Albert III, Laura Rose, Karen, Nina, Kristen, Laura, Brian, Caitlin, Allen, and Connor.  Susan is also survived by her grand nieces and nephews.

Services and interment are private.
