Barbara Clancy

Barbara A. Clancy (nee Foley), 92, of Hershey’s Mill, West Chester, PA, formerly of St. Davids, PA, passed away peacefully at her home on July 25, 2021.

Born December 2, 1928 in Newton, MA, she was the daughter of the late Henry J. and Eleanor (nee Fitzpatrick) Foley.

She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph H. Clancy, Jr.; loving mother of Bev McDonell (Daniel) of Strafford, PA, Jean Schumacher (Roger) of Mount Pleasant, SC, Rick Clancy (Mary Ellen) of Philadelphia, PA, Jim Clancy (Celeste) of Berwyn, PA, and Paul Clancy (Audrey) of Berwyn, PA; adoring grandmother of 16 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren, with 2 more on the way; dear sister of Henry Foley (Conchita) of Madrid, Spain. Barbara was predeceased by her brothers, Robert Foley and William Foley.

Barbara enjoyed baking, trips to the beach, spending time with family and friends, and traveling. She was a member of Aronimink Golf Club where she was an avid tennis and paddle tennis player, competing in various club and league events. She was a longtime member of St. Katherine of Sienna Church, Wayne, PA and was a past committee chairperson at the Devon Horseshow and Country Fair for more than 30 years.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation 10 AM to 11 AM, Saturday, August 7, 2021 at The Donohue Funeral Home, 366 W. Lancaster Ave., Wayne, PA 19087, followed by her Funeral Service at 11 AM. Interment Calvary Cemetery, Conshohocken, PA.
