Anna Jeannette Gerber (nee Buohl) passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 10, 2021 in Westtown, Pennsylvania at 92 years of age.

Anna was born on September 13, 1928 in Mount Joy, Pennsylvania to the late Paul Buohl and Elizabeth Weidman.  She later moved to New Jersey where she was a 1947 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School in Camden.  Anna met Joseph Charles Gerber Jr. on his return from military service in the Philippines.  They were introduced by a friend and married on November 26, 1949.  Anna and Joe spent most of their married life in Pennsauken, New Jersey and then the LeisureTowne community in Southampton, New Jersey.  Joe preceded Anna in death in 2007.

Anna was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who enjoyed sewing and needlework, the activities of her children, and activities with friends at Bethel and Tabernacle United Methodist Church.  She was known for her baking, especially cupcakes, and enjoyed dancing, mahjong, crossword puzzles and reading.  Anna also was an exceptional seamstress and made the bridal gowns for her daughter and daughter-in-law.  She also delighted her daughter and her grandchildren with wardrobes for Barbie and Cabbage Patch dolls.  She valued education and inspired her children in its pursuit.

Anna is the mother of Joseph C. Gerber III (Frances) and Nancy A. Conrad.  She is the grandmother of Christopher Gerber (Sarah), Erin Gerber Davidson (James), Kristin Gerber Baribault (Russell), Brenton Conrad, Caroline Conrad, and Kendelle Conrad.  Anna is the great-grandmother of Michael Gerber, Declan Gerber, Rory Gerber, Brooke Baribault, and Holly Baribault.  She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Anna is the sister of Arlene Rexon and Paul Buohl both of whom are deceased.

Family and friends are invited to attend a prayer service at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery in Arneytown, New Jersey on Friday, January 15, 2021 at 11:15 AM followed by interment.  Directions will be provided at the cemetery entrance. Masks and social distancing are required.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Anna’s memory may be made to the Women’s 5K Classic. The Women's 5K Classic (W5K) is a voluntary nonprofit organization which raises money for Breast & Gynecologic Cancers. The W5K mission is to promote women's fitness, to support female cancer survivors, and to fund cancer research and education programs within the Greater Lehigh Valley.
