Anita Rauscher

Anita D. “Bonnie” Rauscher (nee Nesbitt), 75, of Media, PA, passed away April 25, 2020.

Born June 23, 1944 in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late William “Beetle” and Anita “Muzzie” (nee Furey) Nesbitt.

Bonnie was the loving wife of Francis X. Rauscher, proud mother of Dr. Marisa Rauscher and partner Becky Konkle, Jason Rauscher, and adoring Nana of Delaney Grace.  She was predeceased by her sister, Donna Mansley (nee Nesbitt). She will be missed by many devoted relatives and friends.

Bonnie attended St. Ambrose Grade School and Cardinal Dougherty High School in Philadelphia. Known as a dance hall queen (“DHQ”), Bonnie met Francis while dancing at the Sunken Gardens in Philadelphia.

Bonnie started her career at Allied Chemical. She then moved on to a rewarding journey in the fashion industry, first as a successful runway model and later overseeing shows as a fashion commentator. In the second half of her career Bonnie enjoyed the interpersonal dynamic of managing historical properties in Center City Philadelphia. As a retiree, she embraced the salt life in N. Cape May and served as a childcare provider.

A proud member of the Wesley Enhanced Living Community in Media, Bonnie was a lover of people and words, as well as an avid reader.

A celebration of her life will follow at a later date.
