Winnie Jane Mostardi
Winnie Jane Mostardi (née Terry), age 97, passed away at her home in Newtown Square, PA on May 13, 2022.
Winnie was born on February 24, 1925 in San Gabriel, TX to the late Warner and Valley Mae Terry (née Clark) and was the youngest of seven siblings.
Winnie was the beloved wife of the late Louis Mostardi; the loving mother of Stephen Mostardi (Cecelia) and Deborah Gray; “Nana” to
Winnie met the love of her life, Lou, at a U.S. Army PX in Dallas, TX, where he was stationed during World War II. They later moved to Newtown Square and worked side-by-side for many years at their garden center, Mostardi Nursery.
Winnie loved traveling throughout the US and abroad, bowling, golfing and playing cards. She also enjoyed rooting for Philadelphia sports teams (especially the Phillies).
Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation, Thursday, July 28, 2022, 9:30 – 10:30 AM at St. Anastasia Church, 3301 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square, PA 19073, followed by her Funeral Mass, 10:30 AM. Interment private.
In lieu of flowers, contributions would be appreciated to Little Sisters of the Poor, 5300 Chester Ave., Phila., PA 19143, www.
