Dr. William Brereton Mucklow (Aston, PA) passed away on December 3, 2025, at the age of 86.
Born in Binghamton, NY, (2/21/39) he was the son of the late Wilford Barbour Mucklow and Bertha Arlene Wilber Mucklow.
Bill’s academic journey began in a one room schoolhouse in Conklin Forks, NY. He would later graduate from Watertown High School (NY) where he earned a swimming scholarship to attend Syracuse University and study Chemical Engineering. Bill worked for both Scott Paper and Proctor & Gamble before switching careers to become a Pediatric Dentist. After graduating from Temple Dental School (Philadelphia, PA), Bill started a private dental practice in Swarthmore, PA named “The Pampered Patient”. He would retire from Pediatric Dentistry close to 40 years later.
Referred to as “Dr. Bill” by his patients, Bill was a selfless giver of his time and a master of quick-witted Dad-Jokes. He was a genuinely kind and very social person which led to him having close friends from every walk of life. Always smiling and ready with a wise crack, Bill was a lifelong fan of the Green Bay Packers and the game of golf. His friendship meant so much to so many.
Bill was the beloved husband of the late Mary Ann (Curry) Mucklow and the loving father of Carol Leigh (and husband, Frank) Nocella, William Brererton (and wife, Rebecca) Mucklow, Jr. and Christopher Curry Mucklow. He is also survived by his sister Marian (John) Thomas, his brother Rick Mucklow and his 5 grandchildren. Bill was preceded in death by his brother Gary Mucklow.
