William Anthony Minnis III, age 67, of Havertown, PA, passed away on August 17, 2025.
Bill worked in the insurance industry for 36 years. He was a proud graduate of Monsignor Bonner High School, where he excelled in football and earned All-Catholic honors, and later attended West Chester University, studying Criminal Justice.
An athlete all his life, Bill especially enjoyed coaching his sons and cheering on his grandchildren in their many sports. He played football all through college and later played semi pro football for the Upper Darby Sharks. Often nicknamed Mr FixIt for his ability to do any job around the house. Bill was an avid dog lover and would become best friends with any family dog wherever he went.
Bill is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Karen; his sons William IV (Jessica), Daniel (Danielle), and his four grandchildren, whom he adored, Adrianna, Gia, Christian & Bria. Bill was predeceased by his parents, William A Minnis Jr and Betty. He is also survived by his siblings Maureen, Nancy, Betty, Michael & Peter.
Family and Friends are invited to a Viewing on Sunday evening, August 24, 2025, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at The Donohue Funeral Home, 3300 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square, PA 19073. Funeral Services to be held at Annunciation BVM Church, 401 Brookline Blvd, Havertown, PA 19083, Monday, August 25th, 2025 beginning with a Viewing at 9:30 - 10:45 AM, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM. Interment at SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery, 1600 Sproul Rd, Springfield, PA 19064.
