William Vincent Marion, Age 70, long time resident of Newtown Square, died June 19, 2018.
Bill was predeceased by his parents, William Marion and Dorothy V. (Lesniewska) Marion.
Bill was born and raised in Philadelphia and, after graduating High School, served our country, enlisting in the Army serving in Vietnam, as an Aviation Specialist (SP4 E4) Company B, 8th Battalion, 2nd Brigade, being awarded both Silver Star and Bronze Star as well as a Purple Heart, before his Honorable Discharge, returning home.
Bill worked in manufacturing before moving to Newtown Square to take care of family.
Throughout his life Bill was a colorful, engaging individual, a friend to many in need, easily identified by his Rocket Ship Yellow Van, and known for his generosity and friendly smile.
Bill enjoyed breakfast at Delaware County Community College.
Bill was a BIG music lover, visiting local parishes, summer programs at Rose Tree Park, various local events, and especially loved the Carillon and Bell Tower at Valley Forge National Historical Park.

on Monday, June 25, 2018 from 10 to 11 AM in Donohue Funeral Home, 3300 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square, PA
19073. His Funeral Service will follow at 11 AM. Internment Private
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Bill can be made to either the Washington Memorial Chapel and Washington Memorial National Carillon or the VNA of Philadelphia.
