William Jeffrey "Bill" Keys

William Jeffrey “Bill” Keys, of Kennett Square, PA, a man whose life was marked by service and devotion to others, sadly passed away on September 9, 2026 at the age of 75.

Born in Phoenix, AZ, he was the son of the late Loren and Renetta (née Konopka) Keys.

Bill proudly and honorably served in the United States Army, and his love for his country remained an important part of who he was throughout his life.

In his professional life, Bill worked as a physician’s assistant in the healthcare industry, a role that reflected his commitment to caring for others. Through that work, he dedicated himself to helping people and made a meaningful contribution through his service.

Outside of his career, Bill found great joy in the simple and enduring things that brought him happiness. He loved hunting and fishing, and he took special pleasure in nurturing house plants. He was proud of teaching himself to play the banjo, and he enjoyed bluegrass music. He also looked forward to his daily trips to the Home Depot as he planned and worked on his next DIY project. Above all, Bill loved his family, his close friends, and his country.

Bill was the beloved husband of Lisa (née Matino) Keys; the loving father of Caitlin Pemberton (Sam) and the late William Keys. He raised his family in Middlebury, CT and enjoyed living there for 30 years. He was the caring grandfather of three grandchildren and is also survived by his brothers, Loren Keys and Thomas Keys.

William Jeffrey Keys will be remembered with love and gratitude by those whose lives he touched. May his memory bring comfort to all who knew him.
