William John Fulmer, “Bill”, 97, of Media, PA passed away September 22, 2025.

Born June 2, 1928 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late William and Margaret (Callahan) Fulmer. He attended and was a proud graduate of St. James Catholic High School Class of ‘47.

As a veteran of the United States Army, Bill served his country with honor and integrity. In 1948, he joined the Army and served four years stationed in Japan. When the Korean War broke out in 1950, he was one of the first support groups to arrive in Korea. He was a member of the 440th Signal Aviation Construction Battalion Heavy. Bill achieved the rank of Corporal and was honorably discharged in 1952. He remained active in his Battalion attending reunions.

After serving in the Army, Bill was a vending machine mechanic for Workman’s Music Service. Later, he worked for Penn Vending.

In retirement Bill was active at St Thomas the Apostle Church in Glen Mills, PA. He enjoyed woodworking, making stained glass, riding his tractor, and tending his pond. He cheered on the Phillies and Eagles and loved humor. He liked to “Fulmerize” things by never wasting a thing, but turning it into something special. His legacy of service, love, and dedication will be cherished by his family. Bill was a man of faith, devotion to his family, and unwavering patriotism.

Bill was predeceased by his first wife, Jean (nee Fisher) in 1982 and his second wife, Marion (nee Munro) in 2024. He was the devoted father of William Fulmer, Jr. (Roseanne); beloved grandfather of Brendan (Caroline), Ryan, Kevin (Tiff), Sean, and Colin and proud great-grandfather of Rosemary.
