William Detoma

September 26, 1922 — September 30, 2021

William “Bill” F. Detoma, of Cherry Hill, NJ, passed away on September 30, 2021 with family by his side.

Born in Newark, NJ, he was the son of the late Michael and Filomena (nee Porcelli) De Toma.

William was the beloved husband of the late Evelyn (nee O’Brien). They were lovingly married for 70 years. Evelyn preceded him by a mere ten months. Devoted father to Kim (Michael) Adams; loving grandfather to Jennifer (Reuben) Rath and Brian (Karen) Adams; great-grandfather to Brady and Serafina Adams and Aria Rath; loving brother of his late siblings, Nicholas De Toma, Ralph (Mary) De Toma, and Mary Ann Brennan; also survived by many nieces and nephews.

William “Bill” graduated from Orange High School in 1941. He served his country as a Staff Sergeant in the US Marine Corps during World War II from 1941 to 1945. Bill graduated from Seton Hall University in 1949. He worked as an accountant and credit specialist for RCA Victor from 1954-1987.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Viewing 10 AM-12 Noon Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at The Donohue Funeral Home, 1627 West Chester Pike, West Chester, PA 19382, 610-431-9000. Masks are to be worn during the time at the Funeral Home. There will be Words of Remembrance at Noon, followed by military honors. Interment in Cherry Hill is private. No repast due to Covid concerns. The Viewing, Words of Remembrance, and military honors will be livestreamed here: https://vimeo.com/event/1339099 streaming will start at 11 AM and words of remembrance and honors at Noon.
