William George Beatty, of Berwyn, PA peacefully passed on May 18, 2026 at the age of 92.
Born on April 21, 1934, in Aspinwall, Pennsylvania, to the late Robert Alexander Beatty, Sr. and Marie Amelia Gable, William's life was marked by his steadfast commitment to his family, work, and faith.
William devoted many years to his career as an accountant, working diligently for Crucible Steel and Frazier Simplex Machine Co in the Steel Industry. Beyond his career, William's heart was deeply connected to his community and loved ones. He was a proud member of Faith United Presbyterian Church in Washington, Pennsylvania, where his faith and fellowship were central pillars in his life. Equally important to William were the friendships he cultivated at Surrey Services for Seniors. His warmth and kindness made him a beloved figure among his peers, and he found joy in making new friendships and nurturing old ones.
William treasured the simple pleasures of life: camping excursions in Myrtle Beach brought him peace and happiness, while his baking, especially his wonderful chocolate chip cookies, became a beloved tradition among family and friends. He took great pride in his role as a grandfather, embracing the joy and responsibility of nurturing the next generation.
He is survived by his devoted children Rhonda Dee Tagg (Bob) and Schawn Eric Beatty (Colleen Dwyer); as well as his cherished grandchildren Sarah Elizabeth Tagg (Sean Simons), Lindsey Tagg Whipkey (Mandie), Erin Elizabeth Beatty (Perry Chung), Catherine Corrigan Beatty, Michael Richard Beatty (Sakura Chen), Micaela Keenan Beatty, and John Henry Dwyer.
William was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Marlene Ann Beatty, as well as his brother, Robert Alexander Beatty, Jr. and grandson Matthew Joseph Dwyer.
