Wayne A. Walters, 81, of West Chester, PA, passed away on November 21, 2021.
Born in Waynesboro, PA in 1939, Wayne was the son of the late Boyd and Mary (née Fahrney) Walters.
Wayne was the beloved husband of Elsa E. (née Banks) Walters for 57 years. He is also survived by his sisters, Nancy Sprenkle of Dillsburg, PA and Sally Funk of Mercersburg, PA; and his nieces and nephews.
Wayne was an educator and received his Bachelor’s degree in the Sciences from Millersville and his Master’s in Counseling from Shippensburg. He was both a science teacher and a counselor at different times throughout his career.
Wayne thoroughly enjoyed traveling. He was fortunate enough to visit many places in this country and the world, experiencing things others only dream about.
He was an avid gardener who took pride in both his vegetables and flowers, especially his beloved iris. He enjoyed the company of numerous cats who needed a place to call home, a warm lap and unconditional love.
A private service will be held at a later date.
