Warren E. “Spence” Spencer, 93, passed away on December 5, 2022.

Born in Philadelphia in 1929, he grew up in Norwood, PA, and lived most of his life in West Chester, PA.

He attended Glen-Nor High School in Glenolden, where his talent for sports earned him a scholarship to Franklin Marshall College.

Warren served honorably in the US Navy and went on to work at Wyeth Labs. He was an avid gardener, card player and Philadelphia sports fan. He was also a member of the Free Masons. Above all, his favorite thing was spending time with his family and friends.

Warren was the beloved son of the late Ernest and Elizabeth (née Mercer) Spencer; loving husband of the late Ruth Spencer (née Whalen); loving father of Cynthia Spencer-Bauer (Jonathan); proud grandfather of Anna and Carson Bauer; dear brother of Marguerite Galuska (the late Joseph) and the late Walter Spencer (the late Jane). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family 1:30-3:00 PM Thursday, December 15, 2022 at Wesley Enhanced Living in the Game Room, 100 Halcyon Dr., Media, PA.

Masks are required for all attending the greeting.

A Memorial Service will be held privately at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to a charity of your choice, would be appreciated.
