Warren Musser

Warren “Pete” Musser of Devon, PA passed away from cardiac arrest November
25, 2019. Survived by his beloved companion, Mary Barton; his children, Joan M.
Vaughan, Peter U. Musser (Loredana), Cooper Grinker Musser; five
grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his mother, Claire
VanDyke Sams; his brother, Jack Musser; son, Craig V. Musser; and a long
succession of his golden retrievers.
Pete was a pioneer in private equity and venture capital, and longtime CEO of
Safeguard Scientifics, which he founded in 1953 as the Lancaster Corporation.
He was an iconic leader, mentor, and philanthropist in the Philadelphia region.

He deeply valued treasured friendships that spanned his life.

A celebration of Pete’s life will be held on Saturday February 8th  at 11:00 AM

at Bryn Mawr Presbyterian Church, 625 Montgomery Avenue, Bryn Mawr, PA
