Virginia McKeown

May 18, 1937 — June 20, 2024

Virginia McKeown, 87, of West Chester, PA, passed away June 20, 2024.

Born May 18, 1937 in Merchantville, NJ, and raised in Haddonfield, NJ, she was a daughter of the late Kenneth R. and Cora Foster (nee Messec) Driggs.

Ginny was a homemaker, wife, and mother of four. She was an avid gardener and loved sewing. She loved making clothes for her children. She loved camping and road trips. She LOVED the beach and would often say “I just want to dip my toes in the water”. Ginny attended church and loved singing in the choir and singing in general. Often people would tell us how kind and genuinely caring she was. She never spoke an unkind word to or about anyone and would give you the world if you needed it. People would often comment that she was so sweet and caring. She never said an unkind word and she would give you the world if you needed it.

Virginia was the beloved wife of the late John Joseph McKeown; loving mother of Ginnie Stinger, J. Kevin McKeown, and Patricia E. Leonard; adoring grandmother of Ted Leonard (Kayla Wisneski), Steve Stinger (Renee Stinger), Andrew Leonard (Jessi Morris), and Brittany McGuckin (Brian McGuckin), proud great-grandmother of McKenzi Leonard, Leo McGuckin, and Cooper McGuckin. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brother Rossman K. Driggs, daughter Beth Anne McKeown (James Perachio), grandson Daniel McKeown and great-granddaughter, Maci McGuckin.
