Thomas Voghel

Thomas David Voghel, 48, of Coatesville, PA, passed away February 22, 2022 after a courageous 4 year battle with ALS.

Born April 26, 1973 and raised in Marple Newtown, PA, he was a son of, and survived by his loving parents Thomas A. Voghel (Donna) and Catherine R. (nee Ovelman) Petrocelli (Dennis).

Tom was a generation and power dispatcher with PJM Interconnection. He truly loved his job and continued to work after his ALS diagnosis until the summer of 2020.

Tom was an avid hunter and a skilled knife thrower. He was notoriously quick witted and took great pride at poking fun of the people he loved the most. He enjoyed all holidays, especially Halloween. He loved his family and friends and was a great husband, father, and provider.

He was the beloved husband of Elizabeth “Betsy” (nee Cywinski) Voghel; loving father of Charlotte and Teagan; dear brother of David P. Voghel (Casey Mae Fouse-Voghel) and Tricia Giancroce (Enrico); and caring uncle to many nieces and nephews. He will also be missed by his hunting buddy, his dog, Odin.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation, 5 to 8 PM, Thursday, March 3, 2022 at St. Joseph Church, 332 Manor Ave, Downingtown, PA 19335, and 10:30 AM to 12 PM, Friday, followed by his Funeral Mass at 12 PM. Interment is private.
