Thomas Kenneth Ellis 1/28/1966 to 3/30/2023

Thomas Ellis, better known as Uncle Tom, passed away suddenly on March 30, 2023. He was born in Philadelphia, PA. He was raised in Norwood, PA and was a 1984 graduate of Interboro High School. Tom remained a resident of Norwood for most of his adult life. He was a former member of Norwood Fire Company. Tom spent 30 plus years of his career as an EMT. Tom was an avid Flyers Fan, enjoyed fishing, and was known as the local Norwood scrapper and landscaper. He was also known for his love of Halloween and prided himself on having the spookiest house on Love Lane. During his free time Tom spent it at the ice rink, watching his buddy, Robert in action. He never missed a practice or a game.

To most Tom was known as a family man and you didn’t have to be blood to be in this family. He was kind, caring, respectful, and the rock of the family.  To say he will be missed is a great understatement.

Tom is survived by his high school sweetheart and loving wife of 35 years Lisa and fur babies Sheldon and Tucker. In laws Jim and Margaret McKniff. He leaves behind big brothers Charles Jr (Karen) and Michael (Mary). In honor of Tom achieving such and elite status of being a P.U.N.K (Professional Uncle No Kids) and his nephews and nieces being his world; it is only fitting that they be listed: Kathryn Pyle (Todd), Jeffrey Foltz (Maureen), Jessica King (Mike), Jennifer Burke (TJ), Melissa Ellis, Michael Ellis Jr. (Nicolle), Nicole Ellis, Bryan McKniff (Mary), Matthew McKniff (Babz), and Shelby Brumfield (Josh)

Great Nephews and Nieces: Ryan (Michael), Aaron (Caitlyn), Elizabeth, Bryan, Aidan, Chyanne, Khylee, Robert, Hannah, Mikalya, Morgan, Maggie, Michael III, Brody and Brayden.

Great-Great nephews and Nieces Cason, Spencer and Mahceeanna.

Tom is predeceased by his parents Charles Sr and Mary June Ellis and Siblings Mary Penny Ellis, Pamela DiGiacomo and George Ellis, Sr.

Most of all Tom Ellis leaves behind a legacy. The legacy of being the types of person we all aspire to be. If you were blessed with the chance of shaking his hand, even just once, just know you were a friend.
