Thomas Joseph "Tom" Keaveney, age 66, of Newtown Square, PA, passed away peacefully on March 31, 2018.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Vincent M. "Dutch" & Mary (nee Toner) Keaveney.
Tom was a 1970 graduate of Marple Newtown High School.
He was a star basketball player for MNHS.
During his high school years, he was a swimmer and diver for Rosetree Woods Swim Club and the Suburban Swim Club.
Tom went on to serve his country honorably in the U.S. Coast Guard during the Vietnam era.
He was a self-employed distributor who had his own route with Pepperidge Farm for 30 years.
Tom enjoyed playing men's softball for the William Spingler Team, who were Class State Champs.
He was also an avid golfer who travelled to Scotland and played his favorite courses there, St. Andrews Old and New Courses, and Carnoustie.
While there, he visited the family farm in Easky, County Sligo.
Tom was a proud and devoted father, who spent his life caring for his only daughter.
He was hardworking, and was always there for anyone, no matter what time of day or night!
His advice was invaluable to his family and friends.
He was a generous and kind man, always giving from the heart!
He was a humble man, respectful to all, and was always accountable for his actions.

fiancé); the dear brother of Jerry Keaveney (Kathy), Billy Keaveney (Eileen), Jim Keaveney, Bob Keaveney (Denyse), and Kevin Keaveney (Sharon).
He is also survived by his 13 cherished nieces and nephews, Karen, Joyce, Kristine, Christopher, Patrick, Larry, Megan, Jimmy, Jennifer, Brian, Paul, Denyse, and Joanne.

Interment SS Peter & Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA, where Thomas will be laid to rest alongside his parents.
