Thomas R. "Tom" Hayburn

Thomas R. "Tom" Hayburn, age 89, a longtime resident of Delaware County, PA, passed away on July 18, 2026.

Born in Lansdowne and raised in Clifton Heights, he was the son of the late Martin Francis and Anna (nee Tobin) Hayburn. Thomas served honorably in the US Army. He and his wife of 60 years, Margaret, raised their family in Clifton Heights. Thomas was a Computer Programmer with Southco for 43 years before retiring to New Jersey. He enjoyed carpentry, computers, and vacationing with his family in Ocean City, NJ. Thomas was a member of the Knights of Columbus De La Salle Council 590 and an avid Phillies fan. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family and, especially, his grandkids.

Thomas was the beloved husband of Margaret A. (nee Hasson) Hayburn; loving father of Richard Hayburn (Laura), Maureen Hayburn (Eileen Kauffman), and Theresa Hagman (Christopher); caring grandfather of Richard, Emily, Thomas, Daniel, Andrew, Madelyn, and Matthew; dear brother of Edward Hayburn (Maureen). In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his infant son, Tommy.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation 10:30-11:30 AM Thursday, July 23, 2026 at SS Simon & Jude Church, 8 Cavanaugh Court, West Chester, PA 19382, followed by his Funeral Mass at 11:30 AM. Interment private.
