Thomas R. Harper

Thomas R. Harper, age 86, of Phoenixville, PA, passed away on February 13, 2023.  Born in Darby, PA, he was the son of the late John A. and Eleanor Harper (nee Coan).  

Tom was a veteran of the United States Army.   He had been employed as a Computer Programmer in the Financial Insurance industry.

Tom enjoyed bowling, gardening, fishing, coaching Little League baseball and spending time with his family.   He is the only person, besides Wilt Chamberlain, to score 100 points in a basketball game.  

Tom is survived by his loving children Robert Thomas "Tom" Harper (Marie), Joseph William "Joe" Harper (Susan), Patrick Daniel "Pat" Harper (Kate) and Angela  "Angie" Alderman (Brian).   Dear grandfather of 12 grandchildren.  Brother of John "Jack" Harper (Ann), Richard "Dick" Harper (Ellen), Elizabeth "Betsy" Crawford (William), Jean Harper, Joan Harper, and the late Kathy Pannebaker and Peggy Harper.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit the family Thursday, February 16, 2023 6:00-8:00 PM at The Donohue Funeral Home, 8401 West Chester Pike (Cor. Lynn Blvd.), Upper Darby, PA (610) 449-0300 and Friday, February 17, 2023 9:30-10:30 AM at Sacred Heart Heart Church, 105 Wilson Avenue, Havertown, PA followed by his Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM  Interment SS Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.
