Thomas Wellen Gramling, 46, of Douglassville, passed away at home Sunday, Jan. 25, 2015.
He was born in Hartford, Conn. March 30, 1968, son of J. Joel Gramling and Nancy Kinka (Schroeder).
He was the caring and loving husband of Karen Kae Gramling and the devoted father of Jessica and Jack, at home.
He is survived by his brother, Joseph Joel IV, and wife Maria of Pittsburgh; sister, Michelle Ubrick, and husband Scott of Sacramento, Calif.; brother, Matthew, and wife Susan of West Chester; stepmother, Linda Gramling; Judith Szot, and husband Daniel of N.J.; Karen Raach, and husband Jay of Limerick. He is also survived by his mother and father-in-law, Elizabeth and Cecil Pierce, of Exton; sister-in-law, Kathy Logue, and husband Paul, of Chester Springs; brother-in-law, Gifford Pierce, and wife Karin, of Downingtown; he was known as "Uncle T" to many nieces and nephews.
Tom was a larger than life friend to all who knew him and will be deeply missed by all. He lived every day to the fullest. Tom had an ongoing bucket list and was able to see most of his wishes become reality. White water rafting, sky diving, Red Sox Stadium to witness the Green Monster, visiting Hawaii, Lambeau Field and dining at Peter Luger Restaurant in NYC. He looked forward to family vacations in Ocean City, Md. and racing his Porsche at Watkins Glen track with brother Joel.
A memorial service will be held at his home on Friday Jan. 30, from 12 noon to 3 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, a Charitable Fund Account has been established at Santander Bank, 15 Maplewood Dr., Douglassville, PA 19518, in the name of "Jess and Jack Gramling" for their educational pursuits.
