Thomas J. Feeney, III

July 27, 1968 — July 2, 2025

Thomas J. (“Tomm”) Feeney, III passed away on July 2, 2025, at the age of 56. He was the beloved son of the late Thomas J. Feeney, Jr. and Dorothy (née Dilzer) Feeney, and the beloved husband of the late Elaine F. Bosowski, Ph.D.

Tomm pursued his education with passion, attending St. Laurence Elementary School, Monsignor Bonner High School, and Villanova University. Tomm learned golf from his father at a young age and displayed natural talent for the sport, which he cultivated through diligent practice and hard work. Tomm won the 1985 Philadelphia Junior and Greater Philadelphia Interscholastic titles and Merrill Lynch Scholastic Golf Tournament. He also won the Catholic League Championship in his senior year at Monsignor Bonner High School.

He attended Villanova on a golf scholarship and was the Big East player of the year in 1986 and 1987. He earned a Bachelor’s degree from Villanova, where he met the love of his life, Elaine F. Bosowski, Ph.D., who predeceased him in 1998.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Tomm was an avid traveler. He cherished the time spent traveling with his beloved wife, Elaine. Together, they created lasting memories and explored the United States extensively with their cherished dog, Febo.

Tomm’s insatiable curiosity, varied interests, and love of learning led him to pursue many avenues throughout his career. With his experience as a real estate paralegal and strong work ethic, he branched out into commercial property management and maintenance and the technical areas of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical. He enjoyed the challenge of diagnosing and fixing problems with all mechanical systems. He loved to cook and also attended culinary school, worked as a chef, and started his own catering business. Golf was always his passion  –  he worked as a golf instructor at Aronimink Golf Club and as a golf pro at Twining Valley Golf Club. He was well known in the local golf community and even had the opportunity to caddie for Phillies Hall of Fame Third Baseman Mike Schmidt.

He leaves behind his loving cousins, Stacie Durkin (Patrick), Sheila Dougherty, Michele Dougherty, Thomas (RaVani) Durkin, P. Liam Durkin, and Dr. Tara Durkin (Anthony Mavaro), as well as his many devoted friends who will remember him with love and honor his memory.

Although his time with us was heartbreakingly short, the impact Tomm had on those around him will not be forgotten. A quintessential people person who enjoyed conversation, he had a gift for making lasting friendships, bringing people together, and helping people. He will be remembered for his vibrant spirit, love for the game of golf, and the cherished moments shared with family and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to Tomm’s visitation on Thursday, July 31, 2025 at 10:00 am followed by his funeral Mass at 10:30 am at St. Laurence Church, Upper Darby. Interment at Fernwood Cemetery, Lansdowne.
