Therese Evers Gannett "Terry", 92 years, of West Chester, PA died on Thursday, July 5, 2018 at her home, surrounded by her family.
She was born in Tinicum Township, Delaware County, PA to Michael and Marion (Wood) Evers.
Terry attended Notre Dame Academy and was quite an accomplished singer and dancer, entertaining our servicemen throughout World War II, receiving the Distinguished Civilian Award for her USO efforts.
Terry married John D. Gannett December 20, 1953.
She was predeceased by John and her beloved daughter, Joanne Stewart.
She is survived by three sons; John, Jr, Bruce and David; son-in-law, Rick Stewart; daughters-in-law, Sheri, Peggy and Holly; 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; and loving sister Dolores Young.
Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation 10:00-11:00 AM Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at SS Simon & Jude Church, 8 Cavanaugh Ct, West Chester, PA followed by her Funeral Mass 11:00 AM. Interment SS Peter & Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are requested to Liberty USO, PA National Guard Armory & Readiness Center, 2700 Southampton Road, Room 228, 2nd Floor
