Theresa M. Davis, 89 years old, preceded in death by her parents Anthony and Mary Grace Pucino, and her husband Edwin (Henry) Davis, passed away peacefully on May 3, 2018.
Left to cherish her memory by her devoted daughter Linda and husband Jim, beloved grandmother to her adoring grandsons Tyler, Corey, and Alec. She is also survived by her brother Joseph, sister Eleanor, nieces, nephews, and many cousins. She was extremely grateful for her loving cousins John and Sara Pucino.
Theresa was a lifelong resident of Drexel Hill and never desired to live anywhere else. She was invested in the community and in 1977 was asked to help facilitate a start-up program benefiting the growing community of senior citizens in Drexel Hill and Upper Darby. Theresa proudly served as the Center Director at Riverview and later as the Center Director at Watkins Avenue Senior Citizens Center. The centers provided a social gathering as well as nutritional services to in-house and homebound participants. Theresa welcomed everyone at the centers with her infectious smile and attentiveness to listening. In encouraging the social activities Theresa would be often found joining the line dances, sing a long, or playing a hand of cards. She was instrumental in providing medical, legal, and insurance information services to assist senior citizens. She introduced monthly speakers who focused on topics directly affecting senior citizens offering them valuable information to aid their understanding. Theresa was recognized upon her retirement for her humble service to the Senior Citizen Center community for over 35 years.
Theresa was a lifelong communicant of Saint Charles Borromeo Church. Her strong Catholic faith was an essential part of her daily life. When she could no longer attend Mass due to her failing health she started her day by watching the Mass on the television and reciting her novenas. Theresa strongly believed in the power of prayer which she attributed to her long life even surprising her many doctors.
Family was the most important thing to Theresa and she loved spending time with her daughter, son-in-law and her grandchildren. She and her daughter would talk daily and Theresa made it a point to be kept up to date on their school happenings and sports activities. She was very proud of her grandsons and their accomplishments. As she battled this last year, she made it known that what she was proud of being a loving mother and grandmother. She lived to spoil her grandsons and her legacy of love will forever guide them throughout their lives.

and 8:45-9:45 AM Friday, May 11, 2018 at The Donohue Funeral Home, 8401 West Chester Pike, Upper Darby, PA 19802, (610) 449-0300 followed by her Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 AM at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 3422 Dennison Avenue, Drexel Hill, PA. Interment will be private.
