Suellen C. Schwartz

Suellen C. Schwartz, of Swarthmore, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on December 5, 2025, at the age of 82.

Born on June 28, 1943, in Connecticut, Suellen was the cherished daughter of the late Earnest Richard Castiglioni and Helen Susan Castiglioni (née Callinan).

From a young age, she carried a deep kindness and patience that would guide her throughout her life. As a high school English teacher, she poured her heart into her students—encouraging, supporting, and believing in them. Her classroom was a place of inspiration, and love, and her impact was felt by the countless lives she touched.

Suellen’s greatest joy was her family. She is survived by her devoted husband, Kenneth Fritzman Schwartz; her two sons, Christopher Mark Schwartz and Gregory Scott Schwartz; her brother, Richard Earnest Castiglioni; and her cherished grandchildren, Mason Alexander, Avery Noelle, Nas, Six, and Isla Sue, each of whom brought immense joy to her life.

Friends and family are welcome to attend Suellen’s viewing on Friday, December 12, 2025, from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m., with a Funeral Mass to follow at 11:00 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 136 Saxer Avenue, Springfield, PA 19064. Interment will follow at St. Denis Cemetery.
