Steven Brownstein

August 30, 1946 — July 29, 2021

Steven C. Brownstein of Cape May, NJ formerly of Drexel Hill, PA, passed away on July 29, 2021.

Born in Drexel Hill, PA, he was the son of the late David and Eleanor (nee Lare) Brownstein.

Steven served his country honorably in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era as a Demolition and Mine Warfare Specialist.  Afterwards, he obtained his Captain’s License from the U.S. Coast Guard and had the designation of a U.S. Merchant Marine Officer.  Fishing was Steve’s favorite pastime.  He was a member of the International Game Fish Association and is a World Record Holder.  Steve was also an avid Philadelphia sports fan.  Above all, Steve was a wonderful husband, Dad and Pop-Pop.

Steven was the beloved husband of Donna (nee Campbell) Brownstein, the loving father of Ashley Jordan Brownstein; the devoted grandfather of Jordan Monroe Brownstein; the dear brother of Carol Villbrandt, and the late Jack Brownstein.

Family and friends are invited to his Visitation on Thursday, August 5, 2021, 12:00 to 1:00 at The Donohue Funeral Home, 3300 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square PA, 610-353-6300, followed by his Funeral Service at 1:00 PM. Interment private.
