Stanley Mitchell Payne Amey

Stanley Mitchell Payne Amey, age 78 of Wynnewood, PA, passed away Friday, January 5^th, 2024. He was the son to the late Alfred Milton Payne and Mary Stanley Brown Amey.

Stanley was a Marine veteran and former Commander of American Legion Post 545 Merion. As a proud American and loving family man, there was nothing more important to him then his children and grandchildren.

He was the President of the Men’s Garden Club of Philadelphia and enjoyed exhibiting at the Philadelphia Flower Show for over 30 years. 

Stanley was kind and welcoming.  He will be deeply missed by all that knew him.

Stanley was the beloved husband of Anna Marie Amey(nee McBrearty); The loving father of Dierdre Stanley Amey, Adrienne Mitchell Amey Stretch (James Craig Stretch III),  Elizabeth Payne Amey Bench (Robert Joseph Bench Sr,); and the Devoted grandfather of Lucas Alfred James Stretch, William Edwin Stanley Stretch, and Robert Joseph Bench Jr.
