Myami Smith, 32, passed away unexpectedly on July 10, 2023 in Pensacola, Florida.
He was born June 6, 1991, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The son of Karen Cain and Allen Smith, Myami was 1 of 3 children, growing up in Philadelphia. He was educated in the Philadelphia public school system.
He graduated from University City High School. Myami also attended North Hampton Community College. After a short time at NCC, he decided to change course and enlisted into the US Air Force serving his country from 2014 until his passing. Myami was promoted to the rank of Staff Sergeant Myami Smith and awarded metals in Air and Space achievement and Space Commendation.
Myami was loved and respected by his peers, subordinates, and supervisors alike.
Myami’s smile was contagious and illuminated any space he entered. Myami was a “Gamer” and especially loved Poker. He won a Poker Tournament in Las Vegas, Nevada for his exceptional skill set.
It has been said, “Friends are the family we get to choose”. Myami chose Che’ and Nasir along with his brother Corleone as his friends and confidants becoming the ‘Four Brothers’.
Myami leaves to cherish his memories, Mother Karen Cain, Brother Allen Smith, Sister Zina Cain, Brother Corleone Smith, Brother Che’ Williams, Brother Nasir Williams, Nephew Savian Smith and Mom Marguerite Trippett and a host of relatives and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Viewing 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM, Saturday, July 22, 2023 at The Donohue Funeral Home, 1627 West Chester Pike, West Chester, PA 19382, followed by Military Honors at 10:00 AM and Funeral Service at 10:15 AM. Interment is private.
