Sr. Callanan

Sister Elinor R. Callanan, S.H.C.J. formerly Mother Dolores Mary, passed away on November 4, 2013. Sister was 93 years of age. Born in New York, she was the beloved daughter of the late Thomas and Mary (nee Murphy) Callanan. Prior to entering religious life, Sr. Elinor worked with the Navy Department as an Engineer on bombsites, she also worked for Dun and Bradstreet and as a statistical analyst in the Marketing Research Department. Sr. Elinor taught in many schools in the United States and also in served as teacher and principal in West Africa from 1962 to 1974. Sister Elinor is survived by her cousin Ruth Tucker.
